5:00 PM EST

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) forecast track for Hurricane Dorian this evening for Sunday, September 1 @ 5:00 PM EST shows the category 5 storm slowly creeping west to a point a little closer to the South Florida coast. This is a small difference in distance, but it pushes strong winds just close enough to Florida’s coast that the official alerts for Broward County for high winds have now changed.

The tropical storm warning issued for Broward County means that winds over 40 mph are possible. The likelihood of significant winds and rain have increased.

We are now anticipating tropical storm force winds, heavy rain and the possibility of flooding in parts of Broward and North Dade Counties. With the most recent update, we continue to expect our weather conditions to change starting Monday, September 2nd, mid-day and into Tuesday, September 3rd. We will continue to monitor the path and any projected changes in the storm’s path or intensity.

As we mentioned, storm shutters have been installed in both the Pompano and Miramar centers in advance of the storm.

Site closures:

Pompano (Update)

Effective 12:00 AM EST Sunday, September 1, 2019 our Pompano site will be closed and remain closed thru Monday, September 2, 2019. We will monitor the storm and make a decision when it is safe to re-open after NOAA’s Monday, September 2 update @5:00PM EST.

Miramar

Effective 10:00 PM EST Sunday, September 1, 2019 our Miramar site will be closed and remain closed thru Monday, September 2, 2019. We will monitor the storm and make a decision when it is safe to re-open after NOAA’s Monday, September 2 update @ 5:00PM EST.

Please remember to check the hotlines and with your supervisors on any changes to your schedule. We will continue to communicate and update your Program Management team to ensure we continue to support our employees – providing any time off to make necessary preparations for you and your family. If you have not done so already, please check with your Supervisor or Manager so we can work with you on taking any time you need to prepare for the storm.

Throughout the storm, your safety is ALWAYS our first priority.

For those who use the PayActiv service, our partner has agreed to waive all fees until Thursday, September 5, 2019. If you have any questions about this service, please contact your supervisor for more information.

1:00 PM EST

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Saturday 11:00 AM EST update provided some favorable news for South Florida! We will continue to monitor and provide updates but please plan to stay in touch with your account management team through the weekend. As of today, Saturday, August 31 @ 11:00 AM EST update, there was another shift in the storm trajectory, again, favorable to South Florida which reports the storm staying off-shore but very close to the Florida east coast. Miami and most of Dade County are now outside of the cone of uncertainty.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are anticipating some level of tropical storm force winds, heavy rain and the possibility of flooding in parts of Broward and North Dade Counties. With the most recent update, we now expect our weather conditions to change starting Monday, September 2nd, mid-day and into Tuesday, September 3rd. We will continue to monitor the path and any projected changes in the storm’s path or intensity.

Currently, our Florida business operations remain unaffected. As we mentioned, storm shutters are being installed in both the Pompano and Miramar centers as a precautionary measure.

We will continue to communicate and update your Program Management team to ensure we continue to support our employees – providing any time off to make necessary preparations for you and your family. If you have not done so already, please check with your Supervisor or Manager so we can work with you on taking any time you need to prepare for the storm.

3:30PM ET

iQorians, your leadership team continues to monitor the status of Hurricane Dorian closely. As of today, Friday, August 30, 11:00 AM EST update, there was a shift in the center of the cone but are still reviewing reports of the storm center in the Palm Beach County area.

We still expect to experience heavy wind, rain and the possibility of flooding the Broward and North Dade County area. With the slight change we now expect some weather conditions on Monday, September 2nd, early morning and possibly into Wednesday, September 4th. We will continue to monitor the path and projected impact of this storm.

Currently, our Florida business operations remain unaffected, but we are in the process of taking precautionary measures to protect our sites. Power generators at both iQor sites have been tested. Over the next two days, both Pompano and Miramar will have their shutters installed to prevent possible damage should the storm move in our direction.

We have been working with your Program Management team to ensure we are giving every employee the opportunity to take time off to make all necessary preparations for you and your family. If you have not done so already, please check with your Supervisor or Manager so we can work with you on taking any time you need to prepare for the storm.

We are also having conversations at the program level on plans for program specific reduced hours, work-from-home or other business updates that have been coordinated with our Clients. If you have any questions on plans, please check with your Supervisor or Manager.

Throughout the storm, your safety is ALWAYS our first priority.

Thursday, August 29, 2019

5:30 P.M. EST

Your iQor leadership team has been monitoring the status of Hurricane Dorian closely and will continue to do so until the storm is no longer a threat to South Florida.

Based on the most recent forecasts from the National Hurricane Center, locally we are looking to receive heavy wind and rain that may start Saturday morning and continue throughout the weekend and into early next week. The severity of storm’s impact will depend largely on Dorian’s path over the next 72 hours and the amount of subsequent flooding in the region.

Currently, our Florida business operations remain unaffected and we are operating business as normal until further notice. We will continue to communicate to our employees but feel free to check in with your Supervisor or other Management personnel with any questions or concerns.

Throughout the storm, your safety is always our first priority.
